About Dr Twomey:
Dr Peter Twomey-personal profile
I am married with two grown up children. I have been a partner at Chiddenbrook Surgery since 1991. Within surgery I help the team deliver core general practice including routine and urgent care. At management level I lead on strategic practice development. Outside I am the medical adviser to Upstream Healthy Living Centre, a local charity I helped to set up, which delivers social prescribing initiatives to those over the age of 50. I am also on the board of Mid Devon Healthcare, a local federation of eight general practices, who work together to improve on the quality and the efficiency of delivering general practice to the patients and community in the challenging geographical environment of rural mid Devon. It is my wish to develop my professional career by applying the knowledge, skills and experience I have acquired to the sustained improvement and transformation of health care in Mid Devon. Away from work I have many pastimes and love the outdoors.
