For a safe and speedy service, repeat prescriptions are computerised. Your doctor will have entered onto the computer the medication that you are taking, and each time a new prescription is issued a new request form is also generated for your next request.
Repeat prescriptions have to be reviewed at least once a year by a doctor or prescribing nurse. When your repeat prescription warns you that you need a medication review, please contact the surgery and we will organise for your usual GP to review your medication. If the doctor needs to speak to you or see you, we will contact you.
When requesting a repeat prescription, please allow two working days (48 hours - not including weekends/bank holidays) for your prescription to be processed. If you have more than one repeat prescription, please try and order all your items together. The pharmacist can arrange to synchronise your medicines so they run out at the same time.

Patients can now see the status of their prescription requests on SystmOnline - for example if the prescription has been sent to the pharmacy via EPS the status will be 'Script has been sent to pharmacy <pharmacy name and address>'. This status also shows in the Prescription Request node on SystmOne.

Redlands Primary Care are committed to reducing this waste and improving patient safety. Hence from the 1st April 2021 we will be changing the standard quantities of our prescribing intervals to 28 days*. The change will follow on from annual medication reviews. This will reduce the wastage when a medication is stopped or changed and will reduce the risk of errors when medication is changed in the middle of a supply

How to request a repeat prescription
Order online via 'Online Services', or by email (you will be asked if you want to register for our online services if you haven't already)
Hand deliver the prescription request to the box on the left hand side of the main front doors
Hand your repeat prescription in to one of the Crediton pharmacies and they will deliver it to us for you
- Post your repeat prescription request to the surgery
We cannot, for reasons of safety, take repeat prescription requests by telephone.
Please cross out any items you no longer require and indicate whether you wish to collect the prescription from the surgery, or one of the local chemists. If you want the prescription posted to you please provide a stamped addressed envelope.
