COVID-19 vaccination of priority groups

We are planning for our COVID-19 vaccination service to be open to eligible patients from the middle of the week commencing 11th January 2021 onwards and we will soon start booking our patients into the dedicated clinic accordingly. However, there is a chance that the service will not be available until the following week, and if this is the case, we may need to rearrange appointments.

Please do not contact the practice to request a vaccine, we will contact patients in accordance with the national vaccination schedule.

We are not able to order vaccines, we can only provide vaccines as we receive them, so it will take time to vaccinate everyone. Please continue to follow the Hands, Face, Space guidance that is so very important.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or acute shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

After 18:00 and at weekends, the practice is covered by the Devon Doctors Co-operative. If you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please phone 01363 772227 and follow the instructions.  http://www.devondoctors.co.uk/

NHS 111

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed, you can call 111 to speak to a trained advisor. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see another health professional.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Our e-Consult service is available 24/7

eConsult is the new way to get medical advice.  From now on we'd like to encourage patients to contact us online rather than by phone.  Most people can complete the online form in less than 4 minutes, which will be reviewed by a clinician by the end of the next working day.  The software spots urgent problems and triggers an appropriate response.  eConsults are best done via the NHS App, so if you have a smartphone or tablet do take 5 minutes to register now.

Please note we aim to respond to your eConsult within 2 working days, so if you submit an eConsult after 6pm on a Friday, you may not receive a response until the following Tuesday.
